Swim Lessons
Session 2: June 30 - July 10, 2025
(Monday-Thursday)

Level 1 (Ages 5+), 10:40-11:10am
Level 1 (Ages 5+), 11:20-11:50am
Level 2 (Ages 5+), 12:00-12:30pm
Level 3 (Ages 5+), 12:40-1:10pm
Adult & Me (Ages 6 months - 2 years), 12:40-1:10pm **please register using child's name
EVENING CLASSES
Adult & Me (Ages 6 months - 2 years), 5:30-6:00pm **please register using child's name
Level 1 (Ages 3-4), 6:15-6:45pm (small pool)
Level 1 (Ages 5+), 7:10-7:40pm
Level 2 (Ages 5+), 7:10-7:40pm
Adult & Me: $35 per child
Levels 1-2: $45 per child
Location: Natatorium Swimming Pool
- Students must have completed Level 1 last year, or one week of Level 1 this year, prior to enrolling in Level 2.
- NO REFUNDS for swim lessons; please choose the correct time and skill level for your child.
- If a class fills, waiting lists will be available and additional classes/spots may be added if appropriate.
- Evening lessons are in high demand due to limited pool space and time. Please refrain from enrolling your child in the same level for more than 2 sessions; we want to teach safety skills to as many children as we can!
- Lesson schedule is subject to change and may be altered to accommodate demand.
Level 1 – Introduction to Water Skills
Purpose: Helps students feel comfortable in the water. For beginners who have little or no aquatic experience. Skills include: water entry and exit; submerge mouth, nose and eyes; exhale underwater; use of life jackets; float on front and back; explore arm and hand movements; explore swimming on front and back; follow basic water safety rules; and open eyes underwater, submerge to pick up an object. Students will learn basic skills in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.
Level 2 – Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Purpose: Gives students success with fundamental skills. For beginners who feel comfortable in the water. Students must have successfully completed Level 1 (or at a skill level to the equivalent) in order to register. Skills include: exit water using ladder or side; float on front and back; water entry from side of pool; move in water while wearing life jacket; tread water; explore swimming on side; open eyes underwater; perform rhythmic breathing; glide on front and back; roll over from front to back, back to front; and swim using combined strokes.
Level 3 - Stroke Development
Purpose: Builds on the skills in Level 2 through additional guided practice. For swimmers who want to improve strokes and endurance. Students must have successfully completed Levels 1 and 2. Skills include: jump into deep water from the side; dive from sitting or kneeling position; submerge fully to retrieve object; bob with head fully submerged; perform rotary breathing; survival float; swim front crawl; swim back crawl; perform butterfly kick and body motion; perform HELP and huddle positions; perform reaching assists; and change from vertical to horizontal position on front and back.
Adult & Me
Parent or guardian (or other adult) must participate in the water during each class with their child. Limit one child per adult. Children must wear a certified swimming diaper. This class is not designed to teach your child to swim, but emphasizes water entry and bubble blowing, kicks, floating, underwater exploration and water safety.
